It has been no secret team owner Richard Chase has been shopping Manny Ramirez around the league. Ramirez is looking to rebound in the 2010 season. Rumors circulating around the league are that the Red Sox have found a taker for Planet ManRam. The suprise is that the handshake agreement that would send Manny elsewhere also has another big name leaving the Red Sox. A suprise that will surely have buzz around the league. A potential Ace starter is rumored to be on his way to the Red Sox in this blockbuster deal.
Red Sox will be going into winter meetings looking to bolster a thin pitching staff. They will also be looking to free up a roster spot by moving Carlos Carrasco and/or Mike Aviles.

Rochester Red Sox Make First Official Moves.
The offseason started off great for the Red Sox as new owner Richard Chase decided to extend two of the better young outfielders in all of baseball. Jacoby Ellsbury and Nick Markakis will return for one more season to help out in the quick rebuilding process ownership is making. Both players look forward to having another great season and improving their value for the 2011 draft.
New Ownership
After new ownership has taken over the Knoxville Possums no longer exist. Upon taking over the team, new owner Richard Chase has renamed the team. After hours of deliberation the decision was made that the new team name would be the Rochester Red Sox. This is the first of many changes to come from the new ownership. Chase has stated "Noone player is untouchable and no potential move will be overlooked. We are looking to build a annual contender here not a flash in the pan franchise." Fans of the Rochester Red Sox look forward to these changes and an improved 2010 season.
